In Bad Salzdetfurth /Germany in the Harz the last run of the Union Leage for the mountain bikers took place.

The 4,7 km long lap led through the old part of the town on an artificial course including stairs. After that it went upwards in the wood, which was prepared with technical single trails, steep downhills and some jumping hills right till the finishing line.

Club member Tanja Ruppert of Team womenscareer (FRM-Rohloff) started at noon in the women's class, where the top world elite were starting, too. The female riders had to cover the demanding racing course for 8 times.

After 2:02 h the Russian Irina Kalentieva (Team ErgonTopeak) came as first over the finishing line, place 2 and 3 Nina Göhl (2:04 h) and Ivonne Kraft (2:06 h) achieved.

Tanja Ruppert with her 38 years of age showed once more that she will still take lead in front of her 10 to 15 years younger competitors and reached after 2:13 h an outstanding 7th place.
