Three podium places for Team Santos/Rohloff

Team Santos/Rohloff were in Großalmerode last weekend for the SKS Bilstein Bike Marathon - a stage in the MTB North Hessen Cup. The marathon course flowed through the forests of Kaufungen which bordered the east of Kassel. The tallest peak of this course is the Bilstein after which the course has been named. This peak up which the participants must cycle reaches 641m!

The course stretched over a 42km lap which was completed either once or repeatedly depending upon the course length selected. Michael Opper, Ulf Wahlers and Tanja Nehme chose to cycle the short 1-lap stage while Michael Hodatsch went for the middle length 2-lap stage of 84km.

Michael Opper won the Senior II category with a time of 1:48.16h while Ulf Wahlers had to be content with an 8th place finish in the Mens class with a time of 1:59.49h.
