The Rohloff ‚E-14‘ electric shifting system will be compatible with the Bosch BES 3 Smart System, as of MY2024. This BES 3 compatibility now also opens the door for the optional, simultaneous use of eShift with ABS.

Both motor and transmission communicate with one another to synchronize the shifting process. The result: - a smoother, faster and more efficient shifting performance, incorporating further comforts such as Auto-Downshift and Multishift functions. The Rohloff SPEEDHUB is the perfect accompaniment to all high power, mid-motor eBikes, and the only long-lasting, durable transmission available to date.

For 2024, we’ve moved another step forward, revising the Rohloff E-14 2.0 App and integrating additional features, as well as now releasing this on both Android and IOS platforms.
App features now include:

• Custom programmable Auto-Downshift (Gear 4 to 9)
• Reversable shift direction (+/-)
• Multishift function deactivatable
• Service functions with online direct-link (Calibration, Trouble-shooting/error code analysis, Software-updates, Manual)

With a documented mileage exceeding 450,000 kilometers, the Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14 has definitely proven its durability. The high-quality, “Made in Germany” construction ensures that all the 526% overall gear range continues to function correctly through all 14 speeds, regardless whether mounted in a gravel bike, tandem, DH bike, E-MTB, E-Cargo or S-Pedelec.
