Team Fuji with Rohloff gear hub on Trans-Blackwood

The 7 stages of the Trans-Blackwood race, from Sunday, August 09th 2009 onwards, took place from Pforzheim to Murg Niederhof/Germany. Team Fuji had constructed especially for this race a carbon bike with a Rohloff gear hub and a total weight of 10 kg. René Tann (Olympia-Perspective-Pool) and Sebastian Szraucner (National Team and WM-XCO-Pool 2009) were testing the new combination at the Trans-Blackwood and wanted to make sure the gear hub is fully competitive in spite of the little more weight.

After gaining a good placement Team Fuji about the Speedhub 500/14:
"...It has been shown a bike with Rohloff gear hub is able to compete, if the total weight of the race bike is about 10 kg, because the competitition is strong and the specialists often have the saying..."
