'Rohloff' once more at the North Cap
Frank's Diary
November 13th, 2006
I'm sitting in the empty restaurant of the visitor's centre watching the neon-lit globe, the main sign of the North Cap. Exactly this kind of feeling I need to think about the tour I have just finished. The start in Germany and the following South-North passage to Kap Arkona. The tour along the coast of the East Sea through Masuren and along the Via Baltica to Tallinn. The endless seeming ice-sea in Finland, the reindeers in Lapland and the Norwegian fjords. My autumn travel to the North Cap, which turned out to be actually a winter time travel tour. Meeting people, having adventures with and in nature. All is now history, my history!! A whimsical and also joyful feeling towards new adventures comes up my throat. Marvellous.
But without my equipment, which had never let me down, this travel tour surely would have been as half as nice!
What next? Back to Germany I don't want to go right now. It must be fun to experience and survive a Norwegian winter. In any case, I want to take my time to do some after work of the tour, to get a job and work for a living and to gain some more money for the next tour. I will stay in Hammerfest for a while.
