Results Of NASA Moonbuggy Race

http://blogs.nasa.gov/cm/blog/moonbuggy  Team Germany was sure after 12 months hard work to get something good out of it. But no one dreamt of with such a success :  - 1st place in the international division (awarded by NASA-Headquarters for the best international team)   - the "Most Improved Award" (given by Jacobs Industries for the team with the most significant improvements (here it was 6 min. difference to the year before). Five German pupils/students gained most of the twelve awards, which 88 teams were inventing for, and achieved with it a European novelty: Never before a European engineers team could take such a cumulative approval from the highest ranks of the NASA back home.

The future of these young engineers is already secured. Co-pilot Thommy Knabe finishes his A-levels with this result. He has made the Moonbuggy project a part of his exames (BELL-work). What we have done with it for our country is our obligation and is definitely recommended for imitation. In future we will support other international teams and countries and we will be back, if in our country more engagement and visions for the young is coming up first of all from the aerospace industry. We willingly offer our help for that. This year's success at the NASA is not only a result of the pupils/students but the trade, the middle-class and engaged privat individuals.

Thanks to all sponsers and supporters.
