First run of the IXS Downhill Cup in Scoul/Switzerland (E1 race)

The 1th run of the Swiss IXS Downhill series took place in Scoul, from 18th to 19th of June, 2005 in Scoul, Swiss.

It was a very demanding and exposed race track. Some even were of the opinion this course had a kind of World Cup quality.

For many IXS riders this 1st run was simultaniously their premier performance with the Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14.

Miriam Ruchti had the chance to run a brilliant race and to finish with a great lead. She admittedly was in her best form.

Marcel Waldmann, however, performed his first victory for himself and for Rohloff, too, in the Oldies Masters,. As he could built up some reassuring space between him and his followers during the qualifyings, he definetely made it a real thrilling event due to his flat tire in the final race., so it was a tight win in the end.

With the men it went very well for Ueli Guntli who reached place 5 and was third best of the Swiss Team. The winner was Markus Klausmann who beat Claudio Caluori.
