3rd run of the UCI World Cup "Team Bikes in Motion"

The 3rd run of the UCI World Cup took place the weekend before in Knogge /Belgium. The event started on Friday with the qualification, where Wilko and Marc took part. As expected, Wilko asserted himself and, as being the 11th in the World ranking, he took the jump in the semi-final of the 20 best bikers of the World. Marc, who rides with 16 years of age the World Cup as a practise course, because they have no junior's class, made the sensation perfect and reached as the 9th of the qualification the semi-final.

After that the Women World Cup started with Ann-Christin, who was accompanied by Elisa. She performed grand action, but due to less practise some remarkable crashes, too. In the end she made a good third place and could take part in the ceremony like she did in all other World Cups before.

On Sunday the semi-final was on schedule and Felix Heller intervened in the action. Felix had a hard practise period after having taken his A-levels at school. Now he rode on World class level in laps 2 and 3, though unfortunately, he missed the final very close due to his badly performed first lap. But he is in top form, which will surely be certified during the running season. Wilko showed a good performance and came 12th place in the World class ranking. MarcĀ“s aims for the semi-final were clearly defined. He only had to try to overcome some single obstacles and should not take injuries from some three and a half meter high obstacles. This he has done perfectly and he now is 19th on the ranking. The World Cup is pausing due to the German Masters which will take place all weekends in July. The finals and the UCI World Youth Games will be in July 28th to 30th 2006 in Melsungen/Germany.

You all are invited to come to Melsungen and to spur on the team.
