In a bright sunshiny weather the first mountain race in Niedenstein started with the first rider Matthias Müller of RW-Ermetheis.

The competitors gave everything and the fans along the way were cheering, when the mountain bikers arrived after 2,4 km and 245 meters hight difference at the finishing line.

The first Tower-King of Hesse, Martin Busch, rides for the TUS-Fritzlar, who made the up-hill distance in a time of 00:08:04 h.

In the women's competition the 8 times Hesse Master Tanja Ruppert (RSC Niedenstein) of the Team womenscareer (FRM-Rohloff) started and rode with a formidable time of 00:08:13 h over the finishing line. She is now our 1st Tower-Queen of Hesse.

As a special highlight, Tanja Ruppert rode together with her husband Dirk Ruppert (Team Rohloff) again as last riders with a tandem up-hill in a time of 00:09:14 h. The spectators were absolutly enthusiastic.
