In the county of the Hochsauerland the 1st NRW-Cup started for the participants with a circling race track over 4,8km and 280m hight. Tanja Ruppert (RSC-Niedenstein) of the Team womenCAREer (FRM/Rohloff ) showed once more her biking abilities on the demanding track with slippery passages over roots and deep mud holes.

The 38 year old mother of two children had to walk with her bike a lot more than to ride it, as the ground was drenched by heavy rains of the day and night before.

Since Tanja Ruppert is a fast runner, she was able to show her younger rivals how to run up- und downhill in the mud without losing any time.
 

She turned in a splendid start to finish performance and could let herself celebrated as the winner after three laps in 1:8:36h.

Her younger rival Heike Hundertmark came in second after 1:9:42h and Sandra Gockert (1:16:12h) third.
