Ruppert at the German Masters in Albstadt

For the second time this year's German Masters took place in Hohenzollern Alb at Albstadt (Baden-Württemberg).

There was a circling race track of 4,8 km length, where they had to overcome 275 height meters per lap. Due to very dry weather conditions it became an extremely fast race.

The speed of the women's race was determined by the World-cup riders Sabine Spitz, Nina Göhl und Hanka Kupfernage, whereas the elite female riders had problems to follow the lead.

Tanja Ruppert (RSC-Niedenstein) of the Team womensCAREer (FRM-Rohloff ) fought herself out of the last starting places, despite bad overtaking possibilities and gained after 7 laps in a time of 1:48:48 h an outstanding 2nd place.

Sabine Spitz World-champion of 2003 arrived after 1:39:03 h at the finishing line and defended now for the 6th time her German title.
