Our Czech partner of the  Mad-East-Challenge is organising once a year an MTB marathon with his club, which is famous because of its attractive and demanding race track. 

As beeing very successful the year before, we mobilized our strength to take part with 9 bikers of ROTOR and MADMISSION, but with bikes no Czech would classify as a regular mountain bike. Except for Robert Kreuz Mann all were equipped with a Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14, and Timo had to ride a 1x1 bike.

At the start there was a little irritation due to question where all the gears weres  hidden inside such a "thin" hub.

We were allowed to choose between 40 or 60 km. Matze, winner of the year before, Bastl, Martini, our tandem-duo Erwin and Fechte as well as Tiemo were taking the 60 km track.

In spite of various unfortunate circumstances which led among other things to the disqualification of Tiemo together with the favorite Czech of the Cyklomax Rock Machine Team. Our Rotor Rohloff Team finally ranked as follows:

Matthias Mende 1st place and Albi was the winner of the junior's class.
