Michael Opper wins Bischhäuser MTB-Marathon

Michael Opper has been en-route as a lone fighter this weekend starting the 4th Bischhäuser Mountain Bike Marathon. In spite of the warm weather he braced himself for the 102 km course that lay ahead. From the very start, Michael fought his way through in the leading group and performed brilliantly with incredibly fast lap times. In the last lap, however, he suffered badly from cramp and was forced to go slower. The final result was still a very good third place in the overall standings and first place within his age group - seniors II. Following the race Michael he appeared satisfied with the run and organisation of this event. Above all however, the downhill sections were definitely his favorites on that sweaty afternoon!
