Buda Marathon

A small report from Oliver Lorincz

Yesterday I had may muddiest race ever.
It was a 80Km long mtb marathon, close to Budapest, called "Buda Marathon".
We had a plan to finish it around 4 hours, but because the rain, cold and deep mud, my ride tok a little more than 6 hours.
Sometimes it was even inpossible to push the bikes because the mud around the wheels and the frame.
In the second part of the race we coud be on 30% on the bike, the other 70% was pusuhing and carriing.

That was really stressfull for the bike and for the riders as well, specially mentaly.
Only 25% of the starters coud finish the race! I managed myself with my Rohloff (what worked without problem) to the 4th place.
