Cookies

Our site uses cookies to track visitor preferences and optimally enhance the design of our website. Cookies are small files stored temporarily on your hard drive. This simplifies navigation and makes a website much more user friendly. Cookies also help us identify very popular areas of our website. This allows us to tailor the content of our website precisely to your needs, thereby improving our offers for you. These cookies allow for the identification of computers, but not personal identities.

Of course, you can view our website without cookies as well. Most browsers accept cookies automatically. You can prevent the storage of cookies on your computer by checking "do not accept cookies" under your browser settings. For details, please see the instructions from your browser provider. You can also delete cookies in your browser at any time. If you do not accept cookies, this may limit the functionality of our site.

Use of YouTube components with expanded data protection mode

Our website uses components (videos) from YouTube, LLC 901 Cherry Ave., 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, a Google Inc. company, Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

The videos are integrated into expanded data protection mode. However, like most websites, YouTube uses cookies to gather information about the visitors to its website. YouTube uses this information among other things to collect video statistics, prevent fraud and improve user-friendliness. This also involves a connection to the Google DoubleClick network. When you start the video, this may trigger other data processing steps. This is outside our influence. For more information about data privacy at YouTube, see their data privacy statement at: www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Google maps

Your Rohloff Shop Finder locator uses Google Maps API from Google Inc. to show the location of branches on an interactive map. When using Google Maps on the Rohloff website, user information and a user's IP address will be transferred and stored on Google's servers in the USA.

Under its data protection policy, Google does not pass this information on to third parties, but does make exceptions to this rule. This means that data collected in this way may be provided to third party where such is required under USA legislation or where such data is processed by third parties on Google's behalf. More information on Google Inc.'s data protection policy: www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

You can also disable Google Maps to stop your personal data from being transmitted to Google. To do so, disable Java Script in your browser. Please note that doing so means that it will no longer be possible to use our branch locator.

Vimeo

Our website uses features provided by the Vimeo video portal. This service is provided by Vimeo Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.

If you visit one of our pages featuring a Vimeo plugin, a connection to the Vimeo servers is established. Here the Vimeo server is informed about which of our pages you have visited. In addition, Vimeo will receive your IP address. This also applies if you are not logged in to Vimeo when you visit our website or do not have a Vimeo account. The information is transmitted to a Vimeo server in the US, where it is stored.

If you are logged in to your Vimeo account, Vimeo allows you to associate your browsing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your Vimeo account.

For more information on how to handle user data, please refer to the Vimeo Privacy Policy at vimeo.com/privacy.
