SUN TRIP – On Solar-Tandem To Kazakhstan

Tailwind – Around The World On Bike

Now its time for a bike break …
told Anita Burgholzer and Andreas Hübl  themselves on May 05th, 2010, when they made their dream come true and changed their comfy office chairs into hard bicycle saddles. Jobs were resigned, flat dissolved, car sold. Escaping the rat race and getting away on bike was their motto, that time.
„TAILWIND“ – an epic journey, in which speed and power are not so determined.  A trip, to deeply put our thinking and doing into question. Which shows us quite plainly how, reduced to the simple necessities life makes us happy, and that human kind is connected by far more things than we think, despite all advisories of different cultures and moral concepts. A moving journey around half the world, and maybe to our selves, too.

E-bikes are boring?
No Way! After Anita Burgholzer and Andreas Hübl have been traveling half around the world with “Tailwind”, both sympathetic Austrians dragged themselves into a new, crazy adventure: In the course of the „Sun Trip„, a rally for solar power driven E-bikes, it went in 77 days for about 8.000km long across 12 countries. On their own account without a supporting team they cycled with their startling solar tandem from Austria to far away Kazakhstan. With a taboo on plug sockets, routes of free choice, crazy adventures inclusive.
„SUN TRIP“ – In their common humorously and entertaining way they both take us with them on their environmentally sustainable E-tandem adventure to the middle of Asia. Experience closely breathtaking landscapes, pulsating cities, weird encounters. With rain, wind, and sunshine and through thick and thin – as far as deep into the heat of the endlessly Kazakh steppe.
