Over the years, the design of the Rohloff SPEEDHUB has been continuously refined, with numerous improvements to optimize functionality and efficiency. At the same time, measures have been implemented to streamline production processes and keep the prices of our products stable despite inflation and rising energy costs.

With the new Seilbox EX Kunststoff, a visible change is being introduced for the first time:
A newly designed cable box made from high-quality plastic replaces the previous aluminum housing. This new material not only allows for greater design flexibility, but also significantly improves the energy and CO₂ balance of the manufacturing process – while maintaining the same quality and durability you expect from Rohloff.

The plastic construction is just as robust as the previous aluminum housing and supports our goal of making our products as sustainable as possible.

The new Seilbox EX Kunststoff will be available on select complete bicycles from the end of the year.
Naturally, it will also be available through accessory retailers – for anyone who would like to give their existing bike a fresh, modern upgrade.
