The proven electronic shifting system Rohloff E-14 2.0 is now also available as a DS (Direct Shifting) version. This new variant enables even more direct and precise control and integrates seamlessly with selected Brose and Bafang motor systems via the motor’s cut-off port.

⚠️ Note: This feature is OEM-exclusive and not available as a retrofit option.

How it works with Bafang:

• Connection via the motor’s cut-off port
• When the trigger is activated, an analog signal is sent to the motor
• The motor reduces assistance to 0% for 200 milliseconds
• The gear shift occurs during this brief moment. We recommend briefly refraining from pedaling for the smoothest shifting experience
• Ideal shifting moment: crank in vertical (dead point) position
• Gear indication via the Rohloff E-14 App 2.0

How it works with Brose:

• Connection via the cut-off port
• Analog signal triggered by the Rohloff switch unit
• Motor support drops to 0% for 500 milliseconds
• Briefly stop pedaling – ideally at the crank’s dead point – for best shifting performance
• Gear display shown in the Rohloff E-14 App 2.0

With the new Direct Shifting version of the Rohloff E-14 2.0, electronic shifting becomes even more responsive, smooth, and seamlessly integrated – tailored for today’s Brose and Bafang e-bike systems.
