Over 600 bikers at the start (a new participation record) at this year's Ride Attack. On the track too: Christiane Rumpf and Carsten Geck in their performance as Rohloff Factory racing team. Due to following vacation we decided to take the freerider. The downhiller had to remain at home. At the qualification on Saturday, however, we could have used the other one better as it went quite rough downhill as usual. Christiane was well on her way and could win in the ladies class. With the gentlemen Carsten maintained ground in the top 30. Most drivers were on their way with a downhiller. Therefore, both our Speedhub riders could start their run from top initial positions. The race, however, was over for both very fast. Christiane had to put up with a fall and the brake hose tore off. Carsten collided with a rock, and the front tire was completely slit open at full length... Unfortunately, it comes not always as desired.
