⚙️ The Three Automatic Functions at a Glance

M – Manual
Focus on the trail and shift at the touch of a button: the motor briefly reduces support and the gear engages precisely.
When you press and hold, eShift with the Rohloff E-14 2.0 quickly shifts through multiple gears in sequence (Multi-Shift).
You can also shift while coasting – ideal for restarting after descents or traffic stops.

M+ – Automatic Function While Coasting
M+ adds an extra layer of automation to eShift when shifting manually.
While pedaling, you shift as usual – but when coasting, the eBike automatically adjusts the gear to your preset cadence.
Perfect for sporty riders who enjoy dynamic trail riding.

A – Automatic Function
In this mode, eShift takes full control of gear shifting.
You simply set your desired cadence via the Bosch eBike Flow App or your connected display.
Manual shifting is possible at any time – the automatic function remains active in the background.

Required Updates

To enable the new automatic functions, updates are required for both Bosch and Rohloff systems:

➡️ Rohloff E-14 Update:
Update to version 2.5.1.0 or higher via the Rohloff E-14 2.0 App.

➡️ Bosch Smart System Updates:
First, update the Bosch Flow App to version 1.3.
After updating, make sure the following system versions are installed:

• BRC (Remote Control): from version 17.18.1

• Drive Unit: from version 17.16.0
  (Updates are rolled out in waves and will gradually become available.)
