Along the historical Silk Road. Cologne to Singapore.

Herbert Born has finally returned home after a year on the road. The past year has taken him and his trusty bicycle over 19,000Km and through 17 different countries. A good 7000Km of this were spent on the infamous 'Silk Road' - a historical route stretching from the Mediteranean seas towards East Asia. This stretch of road dates back thousands of years and even back in the middle ages, it was used as a main trading route as well as a direct path for mobilising armies and academics. Even today, this stretch of road is still being used for transporting goods (whetehr legally or otherwise).
