Gisela Gartmair Rides the Tour d`Afrique on a Rotor Bike using a Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14

Covering 12,000km from Cairo to Cape Town, the Tour d ´Afrique is one of the most enduring mountain bike tours ever. Gisela Gartmair is the first female German rider who is to participate in this race. Alongside her passion for cycling, Mrs Gartmair likes to intensify her engagement for the charity organisation „Help for Kwale District e.V." www.kwale.org. Both the bicycle and spare parts are sponsored by Rotor Bikes and the Rohloff AG.

Hartmut Bögel will be joining Gisela Gartmaial on the tour which crosses Africa. He prefers to view the tour more as an expedition and will, therefore, start separately from the race competitors, although he will still be cycling the exact same routes including the demanding 74,000 meters of altitude.

The Rohloff AG sends best wishes to both participants to reach South Africa in good health and that their bikes will complete the tour without problems.
