The 6th issue of the legendary Rohloff Mad East Challenge 500 took everything out of the riders. For three days the competitors struggled hard with the track through the Erzgebirge accompanied by sunshine and spectators. 562 mountain bikers filled the organisation and the spectators with enthusiasm about their sportive engagement and fun for mountain biking. In the total ranking Christian Schneidawind triumphed. He won each of the three stages. Claudia Seidel won two of three stages.
Michael Opper, running for the Rohloff Team, fought with the masters for 17th place. The downhill specialist described the race at on the hardest ones he has ever ridden. Thus he might beat his Hessen bike colleages to be part of the next Rohloff Mad East Challenge 500.
